Don Zinn, Partner
Don has over 20 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He has served as the CEO of Aursos, CEO and Co-Founder of AzoRx, Vice President of Business Development and Co-Founder of Genetic Immunity, Vice President of Business Development for Aursos, Meridian Labs, Stem Cell Growth and Functional Genetics, and Vice President of Operations for Artesian Therapeutics.
Don is focused on corporate business development, principally in the areas of infectious disease, bone disease, oncology and cardiovascular disease. Don’s expertise lies in his ability to connect clients with interested corporate partners culminating in long lasting collaborations beneficial to both parties.
He has extensive experience in building biotech and pharmaceutical ventures in the US, South America, Europe and Asia. Don has founded, co-founded and consulted on the formation of over 10 biotechnology companies.
Don has consulted for a number of biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients. His client list includes GSK, Functional Genetics, Microbion, Aursos, Meridian Laboratories, Coast View Capital, Oxford Bioscience Partners, Southwest Michigan First Life Sciences Fund, Apjohn Group, BASA, Pharma Ceutica, Technology Research Corporation, Leavitt Technologies and ULBRA.
Don is currently an adjunct professor of Biology at Grand Valley State University. Previously, he was on the faculty at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and during the late 90’s he managed the HIV research facility (R.I.G.H.T.) at Georgetown University. During graduate school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, he invented dry process microarray. Don holds a BS in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
